IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU.

Some time back I read someone's article on the Standard newspaper that usually comes on Sunday. I  cannot really  remember who was the writer but I have always remembered the moral of the story to this day.

The article was basically talking about two women; a master and a servant. Both of them have spouses and children. I Hate the word servant I would rather use a  housekeeper. So this rich lady has anything and everything that can be described as material wealth. Money is not a problem to her family. Her housekeeper does her job perfectly well and leaves her master's house in the evening back to her family after she has fixed their dinner. Her husband who is a watchman comes and picks her up with his only transport; a black bicycle. She sits at the back and they happily go home to share a one plate meal with her husband.

Back to the rich lady, the children come back home, serve their meal from the dinning table which was perfectly set by the housekeeper and head to their rooms leaving their mother at the table. she sits their looking at the clock on the wall while waiting for her husband. Without realizing it, she doses off and by the time she wakes up, it is 4am and still no signs of her husband.
That is life for her. Her family's lifestyle.
I don't know if this only happens to me but there are times that I can unconsciously think a lot until I find myself getting sad and I just loose this zeal for life. It may sound crazy but yap! it just happens to me.

Remembering this story helped me give myself this positive self-talk. Happiness. It all depends on me. I can choose to be happy regardless of my circumstances. Am sure a lot of people have this thought in their mind that once they achieve their goals that's when they are going to be happy. A student may say "once I graduate and get my degree, I'll be happy" Another person may say "once I get married, I'll be happy." In short, their happiness depends on their future. What if that's you and it ends up that you never actually get to be happy in your entire life?

The little good things that we do to ourselves, the little treats that we give to ourselves, the time that we spend with  special people in our lives is what brings happiness and joy into our lives but we never really see it as happiness because we have this illusion that happiness is something outside of this world. Well, I challenge you to do what you feel in your heart makes you genuinely smile. I am sure you know what that is.
Be happy regardless of your circumstances, it all depends on you.

DON'T BE TOO HARD ON YOUR SELF...JUST YET,

Well.... this is not something that I sat down and thought about.. really but I saw a poster in a certain site in the Internet and it got me thinking. Why am I always too hard on myself?
I have been trying to ponder on a phrase that I friend used  recently  while talking to me. This is what she said 'life is not that serious, relax!' Is that really true? I don't know. The reason why am saying this is because I am one person who is always  serious with anything and  everything.
But that is just besides my point.
When we are all mind-stiffen and we can't allow some things to take their coarse, things that are beyond strength we tend to feel like we have failed but we do not realize that actually its not that we failed, we just learn another way of how not to do what we wanted to do.
we should learn to look at the glass when its half full and not half empty.
 Here's the poster,

A RANDOM THOUGHT.............BUT I MEAN IT.

Hey people, I feel like its been decades before i actually blogged. Not that I do not love doing it but for a certain period of time I just didn't have the psych to do this. Yet at the back of my mind I know that I will forever remain to be a blogger. At least I know its what I can do best  in this world, so far. I strongly believe in what I write, they are just my thoughts. I believe in them. I would like to have many viewers for my blog, and not only that but at least make an impact in someones life even if its just ten people.
But I also realised that i have to create time to blog, to no just create time but be committed in it. This whole time I have been procrastinating and hoping that one day I will  wake up with all the zeal in the world and just post as much as I can and the next time I check out my blogger dashboard I will probably be having  a thousand viewers and five hundred followers. well, too bad life is not like that. Nothing comes on a silver platter.
This was part of my new year's resolution. To be committed to what I love, what I hold  dear to my heart. At least i know if there is something that will always give fulfilment, then it should be this. Its what gives me that sense of fulfilment and liberation, knowing that this is I work hard for.
What's my point? We all  have something we want to achieve.... what we hope for. It may be part of our nature or something that needs to be natured...but whatever the case, we have to spare ample time to work on it otherwise our dreams won't bare fruit's.
The perfect word is commitment.

MIND INVESTMENT

Our minds do a daily job of thinking, and our thinking is parallel to what we believe in; our principles. Once our principles have a strong foundation then it means that we are strong because  we actually own them and naturally becomes part of us. They are what actually inculcates a moral fibre in us when  we are faced with compromising situations. They are what  help us  keep a sane mind for a lifetime.Even so,this principles do not just come on a silver platter, they need some major investment for the end result to be firm authentic  and naturally owned.
If one fills the mind with with the right content; watching the right scenes, the mind processes all this and the end product is amazing.
Just the same way  a new house needs renovation time after time  for it to maintain its good looks so is it for our beliefs. Our very own-invested  principles  need  frequent maintenance  for them to service us.
Birds of  a feather flock together. One needs to keep friends who are like-minded. Friends who will add value to their life and not draw them back.
Moreover, one needs a daily dosage of self-conversation. Being the first person to encourage yourself before anyone else does so.
For anyone to be a  person of great repute  and of cause not just doing  anything to get approved by the world  but doing the right thing regardless of weather the majority is backing you up or not.
So the only way to this is by having positively-invested principles that will guide our minds.
In a  nutshell let us guard our minds, our most important investment.

HAVE A MIND OF YOUR OWN.

Life is always full of situations where we have  to make choices. Life in itself is a choice because one can choose either to live or become suicidal. If we make the right choices then the outcome will be positive. The aftermath of the alternative will definitely be negative. Not making a choice about any situation is still a negative choice. What I mean by this is, if  we always wait for others to to make choices for us. Always flippant  about everything. Whenever  asked for ones personal opinion on anything the response will always be "you decide'', '' I don't care " or " either way is fine with me'' even on important  matters. These are the lazy brains; always bent too quickly to listen and go for other people's opinions unable to stand on their own. They flow in too many directions.
Such people normally are not confident  of themselves. They are never assets in the society because they cannot invest in any kind of relationship; talk about business to friendship or any other kind of a relationship.
The  remedy to this whole idea boils down to  confidence. To become a self-assertive and self-motivated person, one has to be self-esteemed which brings about the idea of confidence. Self-esteem is brought about by self-love; Ones own happiness in thoughts and feelings being totally important.

SO AMAZING,SO UNFAILING.

Everyone desires to be loved, and not just loved but genuinely loved. This is a place where we could all share our joys of life and find solace when our hearts are just too heavy to bare. Just when our wheel of life has stiffen then this authentic love could keep it rolling. Just when we feel like like we need this amazing motivation to cruise higher to our vision and destiny, to achieve to the zenith of our  strength then that's where we can think  of running  to. Many times or at all times we never want to doubt this love that one day it may fail us. We want to be optimistic, to look at the brighter side of love. When the alternative happens, our porcelain heart breaks into pieces that we never see it getting mended and having to believe in love again. All types of love have, are and will always fail us at one point in our lives. Even after the heart breaks we  find ourselves somehow desperately yearning to be loved again or we find  ourselves rejecting love and hating it, vowing never to love again....we give up on love in the fear that we might get hurt again.
At this point we reject even the one true love that has always been there all along and we have been taking it for grunted. Love that has loved despite our faults  and imperfectness. Love that still loves even when we hurt this love. Love that looks straight into your eyes and genuinely says,'' you are beautiful and I love you'' even when the whole world says that you have not attained its standards of it actually it defines as beauty. Still, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.  Just when the whole world has failed us  that is when we actually remember that God's love has passed the test of time.
It's a kind of love that has always been taken for granted, dismissed just by a wave of the hand as if we actually deserve it but in real sense we do not. God is love. He loves us with our imperfectness,  in our sinful nature. I know it sound rather cliche because this is one thing that has been said over and over again, from generation to generation but this is just one truth that will stand forever.  If we just sat back and  thought of how time after time we've done that which does not please Him but somehow we've  not faced the real repercussions of our actions then we would not assume His amazing love.
His love is so amazing that nothing can separate us from Him. It's so unfailing we just can't live without it, it takes us through all faces of life.
So amazing, so unfailing
